Dr. Spector is a distinguished pharmaceutical and biotechnology executive with over 40 years of experience in drug development, clinical operations, and business leadership.

Prior to SFA Therapeutics, Dr. Spector held several executive positions at leading pharmaceutical companies, including ICON plc., Pfizer/Wyeth Research and Allergan.  He contributed to the development of 34 approved drugs, including Enbrel, Effexxor, Protonix, Prevenar-13, Mylotarg* at Wyeth/Pfizer, where he was Vice President of Clinical Operations and Vice-Chief of Development.  At Allergan, he helped develop Ozurdex for Diabetic Macular Edema and Retinal Venous Occlusion, Botox for Overactive Bladder, Botox for Chronic Migraine, Juvederm XL and Botox for Cerebral Palsy.

​​​Dr. Spector holds B.S. degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Washington University, where he was a Langsdorf Fellow, an MBA from Drexel University, and a PhD in Health Sciences from Rutgers University, with a focus on biostatistics and epidemiology.​​​​
